Good morning students and parents,
Today in class students will be given a description of our first project. Students will be randomly given a holiday to research and present to the class in an "objective" manner. This means although they may be familiar with the holiday, they will be describing it as if it is the first time they have ever encountered it. We will spend 2-3 class periods in the computer lab researching and preparing for this presentation and students have a variety of presentation types to choose from. I will also send home an acknowledgement form for you to sign to assure you have seen the project description handout. The due date for this project is 10/18/13. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at (281) 604-7584.
Parents, Thursday is Parent/Teacher Conference day and you are invited to visit with your child's teachers beginning at 1 PM. We look forward to seeing you.
Parents and Students, Next week is the last week of the first six weeks!!!!! Students have spent this time covering poetic/literary devices, elements of a short story, persuasive/expository essays, and other topics related to English/Language Arts. I hope students enter into the next six weeks with a greater understanding and more intense hunger to learn. Parents, feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Also I would like to remind you that we have tutorials every Wednesday and Thursday 2:25-3:25! Thanks for all you do! --Ms. Cormier
Conference Period: 2nd, 8:15-9:05 Monday-Friday
