College Board honors current and former La Porte ISD students for AP achievements

Giselle Elizondo, Michael Valles and Giselle Villegas—all 2019 graduates of La Porte High School—
earned AP Seminar and Research certificates for receiving scores of 3 or higher in AP Seminar and AP
Research.

Elaine Leslie, also a 2019 graduate, was named an AP Scholar with Distinction for receiving an average
score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.
This is the second year that Leslie earned this designation.
 
LPHS seniors Anahi Montes, Claudia Rodriguez, Virginia Ulloa, and Mia Verm, along with 2019 graduate Waleed Chatta, earned AP Scholar with Honor recognition. AP Scholars with Honor are those who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.
 
Eighteen current students and five graduates were named AP Scholars for receiving scores of 3 or
higher on three or more AP exams. Students who are AP Scholars include juniors Dylan Harrison, Alexander Martinez, Lily Nguyen, Alyssa Powell and Fernando Rodriguez, and seniors Antonio Aguilera, Sandra Aleman, Aianna Avergonzado, Valerie Bonvillain, Braeden Christen, Angelina Kittley, Michael Mathews, Brayan Pedroza, Hugo Salazar, Nicholas Schexneider, Martha Schwaab, Victoria Sommer and Daniel Tello.

Graduates earning AP Scholar designation are Dylan Rashell, Emma Staes, John Turnbo, Giselle
Villegas and Martin Wolfe.
