“The Seasons of a Chato!”

Many people are unaware that the Chatos work ALL YEAR and not just during football season.  Here is a calendar of events so you can see the time commitment for being on the dance team.

July / August

  • 2/3 weeks prior to school starting we
  • Begin private camp and summer practices
  • Fundraisers
  • Picture Day / Freshman Pep Rally

September:

  • Football Games
  • Dance Clinic (Date TBA)

October:

  • Football Game / Pep Rally practice
  • Contest Tryouts
  • Haunted High

November:

  • Football Games / Contest Prep
  • Veterans Day Program

December:

  • Practice for the contest
  • Christmas on Main Street
  • Holiday Party

January:

  • Practice for Contest
  • Fundraisers

February:

  • Practice for the contest
  • Possible basketball performances
  • Possible Saturday practices
  • Contest (attend at least 2)

March:

  • Chato Team Tryouts
  • Practice for the Spring Show

April:

  • Practice for the Spring Show
  • Dance Spectacular! (Spring Show)

May:

  • Officer / Social Tryouts
  • Chato Ball
  • Sylvan Beach Parade
  • New Members “Boot Camp”
  • Aloha Party
  • Officer / Social practice
