American Sign Language Club

The overall purpose of the organization is to bridge the gap between the hearing and deaf community and also to spread awareness of the Deaf community. 

Meets: 3 p.m. on the first Wednesday of the month in Room 9004

Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA)

Texas DECA

La Porte DECA is an organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management. DECA prepares students to be community oriented and professionally responsible. In DECA you will compete, network, and discover friends from all over the world. 

Meets: Second Wednesday of the month in Room 12048 (CTE Building)

Hispanics Advocating Better Lives and Attitudes (HABLA)

HABLA is a club at La Porte High School that was founded over 30 years ago.  The acronym HABLA stands for Hispanics Advocating Better Lives and Attitudes.  Club membership is open to all students, not just Hispanics, and you don't have to speak Spanish to be a member.  HABLA offers its member’s community service opportunities, and all active members that graduate and are enrolled at an accredited school of higher learning are eligible to receive the HABLA Grant and Cord. 

Meets: Tuesday after school in the Student Center, and Thursday Bulldog Period of the same week in Room 9003

Interact Club

Interact Club

The La Porte High School Interact Club is a community and international service organization that works on monthly service projects with the La Porte Rotary Club to make a positive impact all year long. We are part of the 5890 Interact District and attend two yearly conferences to learn leadership and coordinate regional service projects that impact the Greater Houston area.

Meets: 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month in Room 10501 (upstairs) in the  STEM Building from 2:40-3:40 p.m.
